The NFL is looking to change the Super Bowl format to a smaller, more intimate affair.
According to The Associated Press, the league has approved a new format that would allow fans to sit in rows of chairs and seats rather than just in the upper section.
“The format will be based on fans wanting a smaller footprint,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told AP.
“It will allow fans in rows to feel more at home, and we expect fans to be engaged.”
The new format will still include the traditional football field and the dome, which will remain open to the public for a limited period of time.
